in the end of October, I made the mistake of checking my 401k online....people came bursting into my room after hearing the blood curdling screams...of me starring in horror at what was left of my retirement.

Now grant it, i'm only 27 and I have a long way to go, but that was money that could have been used to pay college loans, or car payments, rent or food. I am glad that I have an opportunity to have a 401k so early on in life, which in the grand scheme of things [fingers crossed] will really be a great help in retirement...but when so much of it is gone so quickly because Wallstreet can't keep it's expletive deleted together, it's tough. it's hard to watch money get wasted...when someone else is the one wasting it. And particularly if your company pays into it...that means both me AND my company lost money on my 401k alone.
