I agree! It was lots of fun! And yes, people do have different "thresholds" for how personal they want their blog to be. As we talked about, that can change depending on where you are in life. I think your blog is great, and I love your passion for human rights. Best of luck in the job search, I can't wait to see where life takes you next!

Hi Sam, it was absolutely wonderful getting to meet you and talking about social media, blogging, work & life. We should definitely do it more often :)

That being said, I definitely understand where you're coming from. I think personal experience has taught me a lot too and I think for a lot of young people like us, we aren't necessarily experts on a particular topic. Some of the biggest lessons we learn in life come from our own personal experiences, and it's wise of you to write about them in a way that helps others learn some lessons that might apply to their lives as well.

I think everyone still has a different "threshold" for personal/impersonal blogging. For some reason, my writing has always been more abstract. It's about my thought processes or mostly, something I've read or some issue I care deeply about. I still don't feel comfortable writing about my personal life - but like I said to you before, maybe this is something that will change once I get a job. Who knows?

I use my blog as a professional way to keep up with the news and to debate human rights/development issues. I think it might stay this way for a while, but then again I think the personal can enrich a story like you always have done. I'm sure it's something I'll be thinking about for a while!
