That being said, I definitely understand where you're coming from. I think personal experience has taught me a lot too and I think for a lot of young people like us, we aren't necessarily experts on a particular topic. Some of the biggest lessons we learn in life come from our own personal experiences, and it's wise of you to write about them in a way that helps others learn some lessons that might apply to their lives as well.

I think everyone still has a different “threshold” for personal/impersonal blogging. For some reason, my writing has always been more abstract. It's about my thought processes or mostly, something I've read or some issue I care deeply about. I still don't feel comfortable writing about my personal life – but like I said to you before, maybe this is something that will change once I get a job. Who knows?

I use my blog as a professional way to keep up with the news and to debate human rights/development issues. I think it might stay this way for a while, but then again I think the personal can enrich a story like you always have done. I'm sure it's something I'll be thinking about for a while!
